Food Photography - Donuts

A question posed to us:

How many marks would you grade for the following presentation done by students (Maximum marks = 3)

2/3

(the plate to contain the donut is too small, could change to a medium-sized plate instead)

2.5/3

(browning of apples may affect the whole presentation)

2/3

(the respective blueberries & chocolate chips around the donuts may be a good way of flavour indication)

3/3

(good selection of plate, not the usual round- or square-sized plates)

2/3

(disposable toothpicks used for decorating)

1/3

(cucumbers - wrong use of garnishing but good use of doiler for presentation)
*doiler - a good method to hide or cover old, worn-out plates

2/3

(tomato - wrong use of garnishing)

1/3

(garnishing is messy & use of glassware is risky as fingerprints may be left behind)

2/3

(serving size too much, should cut down, good idea of using a accompanier, tea)

2/3

(good use of decorative toothpicks but peanuts as garnishing is a bit too messy)
